I had the pleasure of staying at the Nest in Raufarhöfn, and it was quite the serene retreat! Despite its humble exterior, stepping inside felt like finding a cozy haven far from home, especially as we tucked into the well-equipped kitchen to whip up a meal. The shared space was just perfect for lounging after a day filled with hiking and bird watching in the stunning Melrakkaslétta plain nearby. The quiet charm of the village, along with the warm hospitality we received, made us feel truly welcomed in this hidden gem. If you're after breathtaking nature and a chance to relax, I can't recommend this place enough - it's ideal for an eco-conscious traveller seeking both comfort and adventure!
